    About the Workshop

    Join this 2-part Primavera P6 Basics workshop, designed to give you a strong foundation in building and managing project schedules. Through guided instruction and hands-on practice, you’ll learn how to create, organize, and update schedules using one of the construction industry’s leading project management tools.This course provides a step-by-step introduction into creating a construction schedule in Primavera P6. You’ll learn how to set up a project file, build a work breakdown structure, add activities, apply logic and constraints, create calendars, and account for weather days.

    P6 is the industry standard for managing complex construction projects, including many federal jobs. By the end of this workshop, you’ll feel confident building schedules, generating reports, and applying scheduling best practices to keep your projects on track.

    Series Outcomes:

    • Create and manage a project schedule in P6, including WBS, logic, constraints, and calendars.
    • Develop reports and layouts that communicate your plan.

    Technology and Participation

    AGC Edge live virtual courses bring the education to you and your team – wherever you are! People attend from their job sites, in their work trucks, at home, in the office, in a conference room, etc. As long as there is internet, you are good to go! We’ve compiled the below list to help you understand how to best participate in the course.

    For the classroom:

    • Please have Zoom downloaded.
    • Computer with dual monitor preferred.
    • Laptop is good with a separate tablet to access the materials.

    For participation:

    • Camera, either built in or added on and ready to stream to the classroom.
    • Headphones or earbuds with microphones are preferred
    • Computer/device mic and speakers are ok if in private, quiet room.
    • Each student should be on their own computer/laptop/tablet, if possible. This will aid in learning and working within breakout groups during the course.
    • Ensure that MS Project software is installed, up-to-date, and logged in.

    Cancellation Policy:

     

    A full refund will be given to cancellations made 14 calendar days prior to the class kick-off. After such time, no refunds will be given. Replacements are acceptable and must be submitted via email to meetings[@]agc.org.

    AGC reserves the right to cancel programs up to 10 days prior to the start date if a minimum number of attendees is not met.
