Project update: See what’s happening behind-the-scenes on the I-15; 5600 South Progressive Design-Build (PDB) project in Roy, Utah. As the lead designer on the project, Horrocks has teamed with Sand Ridge Constructors, a Granite Construction and WW Clyde joint venture, and worked with project teams at Gerhart Cole Inc. and the Utah Department of Transportation to reduce traffic congestion and improve safety as the area grows. "This project is changing the look and feel of the 5600 South roadway in so many ways." said Richard Hansen, Design Manager at Horrocks, "The work we are doing is going to make a huge difference in how this road functions and serves the surrounding community. We have a tremendous team of professionals that have been working with UDOT and Roy City to make this project a success, and we're excited to see the many ways it will benefit the community for years to come." The scope of work for this project includes a reconstructed I- 15 interchange with multiple structures, 5600 South road widening (including a new wider bridge over UPRR and UTA rail lines), intersection improvements, trail systems, utilities, drainage, right-of-way, and Hill Air Force Base coordination. #AtHorrocks #ProgressiveDesignBuild #Utah #CivilEngineering #Horrocks #Transportation
