DID YOU KNOW? VECA’s Fabrication Group recently added Phenolic Labeling to our list of in-house capabilities. Phenolic labels and tags are commonly used in the electrical industry because they are made of a non-conductive material (Phenolic/Lamicoid) and are highly resistant to heat. This service allows us to create custom phenolic labels and cut or engrave on various materials with a short turnaround. Timely order fulfillment and cutting-edge industry value are what we strive for. VECA’s goal is to provide efficient solutions tailored to each project’s needs. #fabrication #customfab #seattlewa #fabshop #ConduitBends #VECAelectric

VECA is a design, install, & service contractor specializing in electrical & technology markets.
About us
As American troops returned from World War II, several of those veterans decided to start an electrical contracting company. Calling themselves Veterans Electrical Contractors Association, they became a major contender in the Seattle electrical construction market. Their idea was to build a business founded in quality, driven by offering value, and anchored by trust. In 1989 Thomas Fairbanks purchased the company, adding his own unique values. VECA Electric Company Inc. continues to be an industry leader in the Northwest Commercial Electrical & Technology market. Far from its humble beginnings, today VECA Electric is one of the largest contractors in the Northwest. For over 70 years, VECA has consistently provided the highest quality design, installation, and service. Through the ebb and flow of markets we remain steady, dependable and stronger with each year. Our strength lies in the quality of our people. We believe that by creating a culture of abundance, we attract and retain the best people in the industry– from the craftsmen in the field to the President of the company. Our goal at VECA is simply to serve the customer. Experience has taught us that providing the highest quality installation and a customer based management system creates the kind of long term relationships that allow all members of the construction team to be successful regardless of the short term market trends.

From K-12 to higher education, ground up projects to renovations, seeing school projects come to life is a rewarding experience for our teams, the students, teachers, and families that call them home. VECA is proud of our role in helping improve educational facilities for thousands of students in the greater Seattle area, but construction on occupied campuses presents unique safety challenges. VECA prioritizes proactive planning so students can learn safely and without disruption throughout construction. As students are counting down the days until summer break, we’re looking back on a few of our significant school projects: Peter Kirk Elementary School, WWU Interdisciplinary Science Building, East Division Elementary School, & Sunnyland Elementary School.

VECA Employee Spotlight – Diane Knox! Diane is our Assistant Controller and works out of our Seattle office. She leads our Accounting Team and has worked at VECA for five years. Diane’s favorite part of the job is…“working closely with so many smart and talented people at VECA. I enjoy problem-solving, learning, and training. I also love fostering strong partnerships, not only within my team, but with our outside partners, vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, bankers, and auditors.” A fun fact about Diane is….“ I grew up in Minnesota and I’ve bicycled across the state of Iowa 11 times on a bike ride called RAGBRAI. My first ride was completed when I was 13. The ride is the last full week of July, it spans 7 days, we rode between 60 to 100 miles a day. I’ve survived tornados, thunderstorms, mosquitos, and extreme heat. It is a huge party with 10,000 cyclists. The towns along the route pull out all the stops and it is a huge celebration. Also, we have a talented young soccer player in the family, so our free time involves a whole lot of soccer, good thing the whole family loves soccer.” Thank you, Diane, for all that you do to make VECA a great place to work! #waconstruction #veca #construction #vecaelectric #vecatech
