10 years later, the College Avenue Commons (CAVC), is still be talked about as a hub of collaboration, innovation and inspiration for the ASU community. “Within five years after the building’s completion in 2014, the school’s enrollment had gone up by 50%, we’d doubled our faculty member count and more than doubled our research expenditures. The CAVC was very important in shaping the programs there today,” said Edd Gibson, the director of the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at the time and former director of the Del E. Webb School of Construction. The 135,000sf project consists of lab spaces, collaborative learning spaces, the Arizona State University bookstore and marketplace, and more! Rowland Hall embarked on a new chapter in their 157 year history with the groundbreaking of their new 160,000sf campus! This project will bring Rowland Hall under one campus, consisting of a middle school, upper school, athletic complex, and a performing arts center! Mick Gee, the head of Rowland Hall, addressed the crowd at the event, telling them, "...today marks a significant milestone in our journey towards excellence." Okland Construction was present this morning at the We Build Utah - High School Construction Event put on at the Weber State Davis campus. We were able to interact with hundreds of upcoming craft and construction management students. The construction industry has a bright future.

With three ongoing projects at the University of Utah, we are privileged to be a partner in providing a better campus for students and faculty. These projects encompass more than 420,000sf and include the William Stewart Building for Applied Sciences, the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter, and upgrades to the Life Sciences Building. Amenities provided through these projects include student housing, educational and research labs, a planetarium, and more. This weekend, with the beautiful weather and Arizona sunrise, our very own Okland Cycling Team took on a challenging and scenic 62 mile cycling event at the HonorHealth Tour De Scottsdale.   Honoring the Norwegian heritage, our team wore cycling jerseys with our original Okland Construction 1918 logo -- 106 years later and we'll still going strong!
